Cherry Blossom peak bloom with a perfect sunrise along the Tidal Basin.
This one was taken high above Guatemala's jaw dropping lake Atitlan, surrounded by the mesmerizing onion fields. While exploring San Antonio Palopo, a local mentioned a little known waterfall up in the mountains. Exploring for a few hours, we met some school children and shared the journey to the top, soaking in the waterfall and stunning views together. Catching this glimpse on the way down my shot idea was in place. Later that night I hiked back up, and lucked out with a perfect sunset. One of my favorite memories from 2016.
It was the only sunrise without snow/rain we had in 9 days. Luckily, we were ready for what would be spectacular colors and powerful winds which generated waves. And, the image I captured before this may be one of my personal best of all time which I hope to share soon./p>
Sheep (right side) roam the bottom grass areas. Fjadrargljufur Canyon is arguably the most fairy tail like location in all of Iceland. I've posted a bunch of images from this place (sorry - it's too magical!), and this will be my last one ever, I hope you enjoy.
After relentless winds and rain, south Iceland transformed into an eerily calm and quiet paradise, with a sliver of light from the midnight sun. Nootka (Alaska Lupine) fills the foreground while the famous Skogafoss can be seen in the distance.
Patagonia Ridges, Southern Patagonian Ice Field, Argentina
While taking shelter under a gigantic boulder for literally a few days straight, it’s amazing how you’re forced to think outside of the box. Some light came through showcasing the elusive jagged ridge, and thankfully, the waterfall too.
